Warcraft Movie/Facebook Movie poster for “Warcraft.” Facebook. Nov. 9, 2014. Sad news for fans of the “World of Warcraft” – the movie adaptation of the popular fantasy game series called “Warcraft” will not be coming out until June 2016. Universal Studios recently announced that the movie will be delayed by three months. It was originally scheduled for release in December 2015 and moved to March 2016. Described by IGN as a “3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict,” the movie is being directed by Duncan Jones, who also directed “Moon.” Jones, according to a report in PC Gamer, was said to have received the news well. He tweeted his excitement that the movie will get a slot in the “summer blockbuster window.” Jones wrote the script with Charles Leavitt. The movie will star Ben Foster of “Lone Survivor,” Dominic Cooper of “Need for Speed,” Travis Fimmel of “Vikings” and Toby Kebbell of “RocknRolla.” The movie is an adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s game franchise, “World of Warcraft.” Plans for the movie started as early as 2006. According to Wikipedia, the film is set in the world of Azeroth. Instead of showcasing the full-blown conflict that is featured in the game series, it will apparently dwell on the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs. The film will feature both human and orc characters, such as the Humans of Stormwind which includes Sir Anduin Lothar, King Llane Wrynn, Magus Medivh, Khadgar and Lady Taria. The Orcish Horde will have Durotan, Orgrim Doomhammer, Blackhand “The Destroyer” and Gul’dan. Production for the film started in January 2014 and was done by May. It was originally scheduled for release in December 2015, which coincided with the “Star Wars” release. It was then moved to March 2016. The film is currently in post-production which according to earlier reports would last for about 20 months. Producers include Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Tessa Ross, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, Stuart Fenegan, and Chris Metzen of Blizzard...

Barrett email Journalists are used to be inundated with press releases from politicians, but Assemblywoman Didi Barrett may have a new record. Due a computer glitch, the Hudson Valley lawmaker sent out a press release today announcing her appointment to a committee a whopping 1,500 times, her staff said. The email just kept getting sent out — over and over and over and over, again. It was driving reporters in New York nuts, and became a joke on Twitter, and the emails kept coming into the late afternoon. Barrett, D-Hudson, Columbia County, said they weren’t sure what was causing the problem, so they just shut down her office’s whole email system. Her office is CC’d on every email sent out, so the tally hit more than 1,500 emails sent. “It was an email that went rogue. There was nothing that we could do. We finally just had to turn off the whole system,” Barrett said in the halls of the Capitol today. Barrett tried to take it in stride: “I figured at least I got people’s attention.” She apologized via Twitter, but said she’s worried about sending out an email apology: That could end up being sent out thousands of times, too. And if you were wondering, or didn’t get the press release hundreds of times, Barrett was named chairwoman of a new subcommittee on Regional Tourism Development. Barrett...
